We believe it's important for Allyis to be actively engaged in the welfare of our community. Allyis' Corporate Citizenship Program focuses its giving on local charitable agencies in the Pacific Northwest that support families, community health and welfare, and the environment.
We work to provide our employees with opportunities to participate in the program in ways that are most suitable to them. Allyis offers employees volunteer events throughout the year, as well as an employer matching program, in which Allyis matches employee donations.
We feel passionately about supporting the following five charities:
Childhaven (+)
Childhaven's mission focuses on serving children ages one month through five years who are at risk of, or who have suffered from, abuse and neglect. Each December, Allyis organizes a holiday giving tree, providing gifts of toys and clothing for Childhaven children. Every fall, Allyis and our employees sponsor Childhaven graduates who are entering public kindergarten and provide them with new clothes, backpacks, and school supplies.
Northwest Harvest (+)
Northwest Harvest is the only statewide hunger relief agency in Washington, securing over 18 million pounds of food for distribution. Each year, Allyis holds a food drive and accompanying volunteer day at Northwest Harvest's Kent warehouse to help feed the area's hungry.
Mountains to Sound (+)
The MTS Greenway runs along I-90 from Seattle to central Washington. Today, most of the landscape not already developed along I-90 is in public ownership and is protected as the Mountains to Sound Greenway. It is designated as a National Scenic Byway. Allyis employees participate in events each June for Mountains to Sound's annual
Greenway Days Festival. The goal of Greenway Days is to get Seattle-area residents outdoors to enjoy the beautiful natural area that exists right in our own backyard.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Northwest (+)
Founded in 1982,
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Northwest (JDRF) is dedicated to finding a cure for juvenile diabetes. JDRF Northwest serves families coping with diabetes in Washington, Montana, and Alaska through its chapter office in Seattle and branch offices throughout the region. Each year, Team Allyis participates in JDRF's annual Beat the Bridge race on a Sunday in May at Husky Stadium in Seattle. Also, participants in our annual JDRF 3P Tournament compete against fellow Allyis employees in pool and ping-pong games to win prizes. All entry fees benefit JDRF.
Camp Korey (+)
Camp Korey serves children ages 6-16 who live with serious and life-altering conditions by giving them the opportunity to experience the joys and elation of summer camp. Allyis has provided hosting and ongoing development/editing/publishing support for the Camp Korey Web site.
Greener Allyis Initiative (+)
In addition to supporting specific local charities, Allyis continually looks for ways to minimize its negative impact as a company on the environment. Allyis has developed an approach to business management that emphasizes reduced waste, buying greener, buying local, recycling, and reduced consumption, along with educating and encouraging employees to make changes, even small ones, both at work and at home.
